I took my car here for a nail in my tire. This is one of he best mechanics I've ever been too. The people are amazingly nice. They get you in and out quickly and don't try to talk you into things you don't need. They could have easily lied to me and told me that I needed a new tire, which would have cost a ton of money, but they were honest and said the hole only needed to be plugged, the much cheaper option. I would recommend that everyone take their cars there for service.

Considering the negligence , for a simple oil change, i would assume either the staff are underpaid or are disinterested.
These guys are great guys. I was driving home from Denville and I had a terrible hum coming from my tires.
They took me right in and I got right out.
1: Went to have a Penzoil Platinum Synthetic oil change and I could see the technician filling in Mobil 1 oil instead. I assumed they would at least let me know of the change in oil at billing.
I was beside myself with the respect these guys showed me. You don't see that much anymore.
Just wanted to tell you how wonderful the customer service was at your store 1616 in Pine Brook NJ. I was greeted by the Sales Manager... I quickly noticed that you really do strive for high quality and customer service, your employees reflect that influence beautifully. I was having problems and needed spark plugs replaced. Your staff diagnosed my problem and made the corrections quickly. The turn around was amazing and I was happy that everything was done nicely. The short time that I spent in the waiting area was great. The shop was very clean and it looked like they had everything very organized. I was also happy how the Sales Manager explained the rewards plan to me. I will return back for more service to my car and I will recommend my friends and family to visit this shop for their future car services.
When I went to pay they wouldn't take my money and thanked me for my service. (I'm a Marine Corps veteran)
2: I had specifically asked for them to check the pressure of spare tire, but at the checkout the technician told me that it would take a lot of time to fill it to 60psi & this at 2pm at noon, when i was the only customer out there.
It is best to avoid such a place at all cost !
I wasn't sure if it was my new tires or a bad bearing. Not wanting to take the chance I stopped here.
I just wanted them to put the car on the lift so I could check my bearings and rotate the tires.
LIARS AND SCAMMERS. Produced a false alignment report showing a perfect alignment both before and after supposedly performing an alignment and tried to sell me new shocks and tires. I took the car to my dealer who pointed out the crooked tire and produced an accurate alignment showing that pep boys did not align the tires. Pep boys corporate admitted to fraud by their willingness to refund my money.
